Sandvik will be exhibiting at this year’s Stainless Steel World 2019 on stand C26. With the theme of ‘Solving Corrosion with Science’, the company will be highlighting grades, designs, quality and sustainability of products and how working with customers they can help their operations and businesses.

As well as being able to learn about high temperature piping, heat exchanger, hydraulic and instrumentation tube products and a range of other initiatives, Sandvik’s team of experts will be on hand throughout to discuss products and services, provide answers to questions and help with any corrosion issues customers may have.

A number of activities will be on-going at the stand to interest and engage visitors who will be invited to take part in the Corrosion Quiz Challenge and be in with the chance to win a set of state-of-the-art Bose headphones.

Sandvik is keen to court opinion from delegates again this year and will be undertaking an industry survey. Dyon Hermsen, Sales Manager for Sandvik, said: “At SSW 2017 we undertook a survey which sought to find out what was influencing customers’ purchasing decisions and discuss some of the issues they were currently facing. This resulted in some very interesting findings which we shared extensively at the time and this year we’re keen to see if and how people’s thinking has changed. We’d encourage as many people as possible to come along to our stand to take part and as we did two years ago, we will ensure our survey results are shared with the industry.”

This year saw the reveal of the world’s first all-metal, smash-proof guitar which has been covered extensively in the press and on social media and subsequently attracting a great deal of interest. Visitors to the stand will be able to see the guitar, which was put to the test by Swedish guitar virtuoso Yngwie Malmsteen, for themselves. More can be found out about this guitar by watching this video.

The company says E-Track is an industry first among steel producers and provides customers with a personalized dashboard overview .

Sandvik will also be joined at the exhibition by an illusionist and entertainer who will be in the guise of the Sandvik founder Göran Fredrik Göransson. Visitors will be treated to an entertaining experience with an enlightening history of the company, as well as a number of exciting magic tricks designed to delight and amaze.
