Some parts of the system were exposed to severe corrosion, while others were entirely unaffected. The challenge was to identify the causes of corrosion in each part and recommend a solution where necessary.

We found that the cooling water was more corrosive than expected, due to both the river water itself and the involved chemicals. One of our recommendations was to optimize the chemical additives to avoid overconsumption. We also provided the customer with material recommendations for each part of the system.
