Key Performance Areas:

Reporting to the Quality Manager, with bringing together your Leadership and Technical skills, you will be responsible to plan, organize, optimize and coordinate, a range of activities in the laboratory like conducting metallurgical, materials, corrosion and mechanical analysis, and this with being focus on the high safety standards. You supervise, develop, coordinate your team to perform high level of laboratory expert duties, with maintaining and developing necessary competences.

You ensure that tests and project are completed on time with expected quality and that results are reported and provided with relative advises, solutions and performance data statistics.

Your main responsibilities will be to:

  • To supervise and to coordinate the laboratory tests during the manufacturing process and for special qualification projects: micrography, hardness, chemical analysis, corrosion, mechanical and pressure tests,

  • Organize and coordinate the qualification of special processes by carrying out the various necessary tests and trials,

  • To supervise and to ensure the performance of laboratory and service activities in the field of calibration with regard to the design, implementation and evaluation of measuring and testing methods.

  • Perform analysis following customer complaints and provide appropriate report and solutions.

  • To monitor the introduction of new test methods on the basis of the requirements of the application cases.

  • To monitor the usefulness of new and developed test methods. Monitoring and evaluating test results, planning and implementing them.

  • To plan, to develop and to implement calibration processes in the field of measuring instrument management.

  • To perform Audit and to continue the accreditation of the laboratory.

Your profile :

  • Engineer Degree in Engineering or related Metallurgical field with relevant experience in a laboratory environment and high-quality level demanding industry

  • Proficient in blueprint reading/interpretation, dimensional tolerances, NDT, and other product qualification/acceptance testing methods. Ideally experienced in NDT Level 2 and 3.

  • Well-founded knowledge of the metrological environment & of physical measurement technology,

  • Broad knowledge of theory and principles of statistics and statistical process control

  • Diverse knowledge of inspection; control methods & technical documentation.

  • High level of verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong leadership capabilities with ability to promote a team-oriented environment to ensure all objectives are met for the work group.

  • Very good knowledge of German and good written and spoken English
