Minna is originally from Finland but lives in Sweden and works for Sandvik. She has a pacemaker and before the device was installed, exertion could leave her breathless, dizzy and she could easily faint.

The pacemaker helps Minna's heart to beat with a steady rhythm and allows her to do what she enjoys most – leading an active life which includes swimming, long walks, dance classes, and other physical activities.

Did you know that the pacemaker is a Swedish innovation?

Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) is a method used to track glucose levels in the blood and contributes to better diabetes management. CGM users insert a tiny sensor wire just under their skin and an adhesive patch holds the CGM sensor housing in place. A small transmitter connects to the sensor wire and sends real-time readings wirelessly to a receiver, which can be connected to an app on your smart device. It’s also possible to send alerts to friends/parents when certain glucose thresholds are reached, which can be live-saving.
