Sandvik Springflex™ SH is a duplex (austenitic-ferritic) stainless steel characterized by:

  • Extremely high tensile strength in 'as delivered' condition
  • Very good relaxation resistance
  • High resistance to stress corrosion cracking (SCC) in chloride-bearing environments
  • High resistance to stress corrosion cracking (SCC) in environments containing hydrogen sulphide
  • High resistance to general corrosion, pitting, and crevice corrosion
  • High resistance to erosion corrosion and corrosion fatigue
  • Physical properties that offer design advantages

Service temperature: -100 to 300°C (-150 to 570°F)

Standards

  • S32205/S31803
  • 1.4462
  • X2CrNiMoN 22-5-3

Product standard

  • EN 10270-3 is valid, excluding chemical composition and mechanical properties.
  • ASTM A313
