Drawing fluid

Product contains organic polymers, mainly Polyethylene polymers.
Declaration of ingredients by CAS number, weight %, and risk phrases: Not applicable.

3. Hazard classification of product

None if used for intended purpose.
The product is not classified as hazardous.
No flammability/explosion hazards for the product.
Repeatedly and long time skin contact may cause irritation of a temporary nature.
Organic polymers in their reacted or finished form does not pose any health hazards.

4. First aid measures

Inhalation: Not relevant
Skin contact: Rinse with running water.
Eye contact: Flush eyes with copious amounts of running water (for 10 minutes), if necessary see physician.
Ingestion: Drink 1-2 glasses of water, see physician.

5. Fire fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media: Foam, extinguishing powder, carbon dioxide.
Extinguishing media which must not be used for safety reasons: none known.
Special exposure hazards arising from the product itself, from combustion products or from resulting gases: In case of fire, harmful combustion products and gases could be released (CO, COX).
Special protective equipment for firefighters: Put on breathing apparatus.

6. Accidental release measures

Personal precautions: Escaping product causes danger of slipping.
Environmental precautions: Do not allow enter drainage system, surface or ground water.
Methods of cleaning up/of removing: Wipe up using absorbent material and subject to waste incineration (see section 13).

7. Handling and storage

Handling: No special measures required. Use this product as additional drawing fluid to ease the coiling of complicated springs Ensure good industrial hygiene, e.g. wash your hands before and after working with the product and also before and after breaks.
Storage: No special measures necessary.

8. Exposure controls/personal protection

The National Institute of Occupational Saftey and Health (NIOSH) has not set any exposure limits for any of the ingredients of the product.
Information on the system design: No special measures required
Components with specific control parameters: None.
Hand protection: Protective gloves made of rubber.
Eye protection: Wear protective goggles in event of spray hazard.
Respiratory protection: No need of respiratory protection.

Based on the components contained in the product and/or structurally comparable substances the following ecological data are to be expected.
Persistence and degradability: The total of the organic components contained in the product is not classified as "readily biodegradable". (OECD-limits for classification "readily biodegradable": at least 60% BOD28/COD resp. at least 70% DOC).
Aquatic toxicity: Acute fish toxicity: LC 50 > 100 mg product/l.
