Sandvik to exhibit composite tube for increased boiler lifetimes at PulPaper 2014

Sandvik will show visitors to its stand at PulPaper 2014 how to increase boiler lifetimes with composite tube solutions that yield excellent corrosion properties with superior resistance to stress corrosion cracking.

Sandvik Materials Technology will make its first appearance at this year's 8th annual PulPaper exhibition at the Helsinki Exhibition and Convention Centre, Finland (3 – 5 June) on Stand: 6k60, Hall: 06.

"Sandvik is pleased to be among the exhibitors at this year's PulPaper to showcase our new composite tube which satisfies increasing demands for improved corrosion and cracking resistance," explained Timo Peltola, Global Product Manager, Composite and Boiler Tubes.

Materials on display will include SanicroTM 67/4L7, relied upon in severe conditions for black liquor recovery and other boiler applications. The premium composite tube is more resistant to stress corrosion cracking and general corrosion than standard 304L/4L7 grades and has longer lifecycles, due to higher chromium levels and a low working-hardening rate.

Other innovative Sandvik solutions on display will include hollow bar and bar for cost effective component production such as valves, washers and other key parts involved in pulp and paper applications; duplex tubes and fittings for piping; and hydraulics and instrumentation tubing for paper machines.

Sandvik material experts will be on hand throughout the exhibition to advise on optimal material grade selection and suitability for specific applications.
